Qubit Customer Meetup - Personalization with the Pros

Last week we hosted our first customer meetup for the year and it proved to be part of a pretty busy week.

We were in Monaco for Ecommerce One to One and we were in Las Vegas for Shoptalk where we launched a new piece of research (well worth a read for any retailers wondering where to prioritize their efforts when it comes to a mobile personalization strategy!). Then, to crown the week, we hosted a group of over 60 of our customers for a morning meetup at Qubit HQ in London.

After an intro from Head of Customer Success Laura, we leapt straight into the serious stuff with a roundup of the product roadmap.

Emre, Qubit CTO and founder, reflected on 2017, which saw a wave of releases that focused on making our platform easier to use, increasing the accessibility and value of the data in the platform, and creating a brand new wave of personalization for mobile with Qubit Aura.Then, he took us over the planned route for 2018 which will see us build on that foundation. The planned focuses are efficiency and usability enhancements; automating personalization at scale with data and machine learning; and, scaling personalization through integrating Qubit across our customers’ tech stacks.

 

Strategy and inspiration

Then it was time for to dive into some exciting personalization work from the retail space. Professional Services Team Lead Cassia, presented work from Mothercare team and focused particularly on identifying different user segments and coined a phrase: “Purpose-based personalization”. You’ll hear more about this in the future!

Then Senior Customer Success Manager Elli gave us some insights into the travel space looking at ancillaries, at-risk inventory and loyalty. Elli brought out some great practical examples from Thomas Cook Airlines, Emirates and Great Rail Journeys.

Finally, it was Product Manager Sergio’s time to shine, leading the audience through a live demo featuring self-segmentation through Visitor Pulse on mobile, and instant badging using social proof.
